mTuitive Cardinality Properties for Repeating Sections
In the latest version of mTuitive CAP eFRM (2020) new properties have been made available for all Pathologists to track repeating sections in a more efficient way.
This example is for Additional Tumors—the feature can be used for any checklist or facility that is looking for a simple way to add repeating sections. All follow-up or child questions that are branched to the parent question can be set up as part of this new repeating section.
Example 1.
Example 1. Above is the mTuitive authored version of the CAP 2020 Checklist for Thyroid Gland Resection. Tumor Focality has been answered “Multifocal”. This gives the Pathologist the ability to track the Dominant Tumor, (which will be staged) plus any Additional Tumors required for this checklist.
If the Pathologist answered “Single Foci or Focus” the Additional Tumor section will not appear.
Number of Additional Tumors Identified is still a required question, however this does not affect the number of Additional Tumors calculated by the checklist for reporting, it’s simply a free text question used to report the number.
Example 2.
Example 2. Upon closer inspection of the Additional Tumor(s) section you will notice a green cross in the upper right-hand corner of the section’s title. Each time a Pathologist selects the green cross (by clicking it) an additional exact copy of the section will be produced in succession of the prior section.
If Multi-focal is selected, one additional tumor will appear on the checklist. It is up to the Pathologist to add however many additional tumors a report requires. This again is done through clicking the green cross the appropriate number of times.
Example 3.
Example 3. In image labeled Example 3, the green cross was clicked two (2) additional times, for a total of three (3) additional tumors. The logic for the Main Largest Tumor will always remain separate and is used in staging for this checklist.
Example 4.
Example 4. After each individual “Additional Section” has been created a red x will appear next to the green cross. This allows removal of a specific section from the checklist permanently. Please Note—any data that has been entered into the section will also be deleted permanently. However, CAP eFRM will create a prompt to verify the command was not accidentally selected.
Example 5.
Example 5. Example 5 demonstrates the prompt when a Pathologist selects the red cross to delete an Additional Section. It is important that the Pathologist definitively wants to remove this section from the checklist before selecting “OK” and deleting it.
Note: for this example, the only way to remove the first “Additional Tumor” would be to change the Tumor Focality answer from “Multi-Focal” to “Single Foci” or “Focus”. In some cases, e.g. Repeating Margins, all measurements will be presenting a green cross and red x to add and remove sections.
How to enter mTuitive Cardinality Properties into Agile Author for Repeating Sections
Note: This section is for authoring only.
mTuitive and CAP have put two new properties into their 2020 CAP eFRM Synoptic Report:
http://www.mtuitive.com/mtrs/MinCardinality
http://www.mtuitive.com/mtrs/MaxCardinality
In mTuitive Agile Author, in the properties field, a range is entered into the properties field. For example:
Property | Value |
http://www.mtuitive.com/mtrs/MinCardinality | 0 |
http://www.mtuitive.com/mtrs/MaxCardinality | 100 |
The example above would allow for up to 100 repeating sections to be selected. The property only needs entered into Agile Author for the parent question. Subsequent questions (or child questions) with logic and branching that are tied to the parent question will also be repeated in this recurring section.
