- Major Salivary Glands.
Name change (remove from Test/Live):
- Lip and Oral Cavity (now Oral Cavity)

New protocols:
- HPV - Associated Oropharynx
- HPV - Independent Oropharynx and Hypopharynx
- Mucosal Melanoma
- Nasopharynx
Note: If you deploy protocols via your browser using the web-based Database Administrator tool, please refer to the web-based instructions here.
Please note: if you have not deployed the 2022 Q1 - 2025 Q3 updates, please do so before deploying the 2026 Q1 Update. Thank you!
1. Log In: Sign into CAP eFRM as an administrator who can access the database administration tools.

2. Deploy Updated and New Protocols: From the left-hand panel, select "DEV" from the Group dropdown (1). Then, select “2026 Q1 CAP [...]" from the Template Set dropdown (2). On the right-hand panel, select Group LIVE or TEST (3) and Template Set "Synoptic Pathology Algorithms" (4).

Then, from the list of protocols in the left-hand panel, check any CAP protocols you would like to deploy. Protocols can be selected individually by clicking the box next to the name of the desired protocol. To select all the protocols at once, click the top box to the left of the header "Template Name" (1). Once all desired protocols are selected, click the large black arrow (2) to deploy protocols.

New protocols:
- HPV - Associated Oropharynx
- HPV - Independent Oropharynx and Hypopharynx
- Mucosal Melanoma
- Nasopharynx
3. Please wait while protocols deploy: Grab a coffee but don't go too far!

4. Deployed: Once you see the message "Deployment completed," you are free to click the "Close" button. Please note that deployed protocols will be highlighted in green in the left-hand panel.

5. Remove retired protocols: Two protocols have been retired in this release:
- Pharynx (Oropharynx, Hypopharynx, Nasopharynx)
- Major Salivary Glands.
Remove old protocols: Three protocols have been renamed in this release:
- Lip and Oral Cavity (now Oral Cavity)
- Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Head and Neck (now Cutaneous Carcinoma of the Head and Neck)
To remove these protocols, click on the protocols in the right-hand panel (1), then click, Delete (2).

6. The new worksheets will then be available to the Pathologists for use.
