Deploy CAP 2026 Q2 Oracle

mTuitive has been working hard to update the College of American Pathologists' electronic Cancer Protocols (CAP eCP)! When you are ready to deploy the updated 2026 Q2 CAP eCP protocols to either Test or Live environments, please follow all of the steps below:

Please note: if you have not deployed the 2026 Q1 updates, please do so before deploying the 2026 Q2 Update. Thank you!

1. Log In: Sign into CAP eFRM as an administrator who can access the database administration tools.

2. Deploy New Protocols: From the left-hand panel, select "DEV" from the Group dropdown (1). Then, select “2026 Q2 CAP [...]" from the Template Set dropdown (2). On the right-hand panel, select Group LIVE or TEST (3) and Template Set "Synoptic Pathology Algorithms" (4).

Then, from the list of protocols in the left-hand panel, check any CAP protocols you would like to deploy. Protocols can be selected individually by clicking the box next to the name of the desired protocols. To select all the protocols at once, click the top box to the left of the header "Template Name" (1). Once all desired protocols are selected, click the large black arrow (2) to deploy protocols.

3. Please wait while protocols deploy: Grab a coffee but don't go too far!

4. Deployed: Once you see the message "Deployment completed," you are free to click the "Close" button. Please note that deployed protocols will be highlighted in green in the left-hand panel.

5. Remove retired protocols: To remove retired protocols, check off the protocols in the right-hand panel (1), then click on the Delete Template button (2). No protocols have been retired this release, however, please refer to the note below to ensure protocols that were previously retired have been removed.

Note: If you have not removed the protocols that were recently retired, please remove those as well. The protocols are Pharynx and Major Salivary Gland, Lip and Oral Cavity (now renamed to Oral Cavity), and Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Head and Neck (now Cutaneous Carcinoma of the Head and Neck).

6. Open APSDBTools: The final step is to open APSDBTools in whichever domain you deployed to and import the worksheets.

7. The new worksheets will then be available to the Pathologists for use.

Note: For new eCP protocols, you also must add the report sections to the new protocol. These will vary based on your site. For example: Surgical Pathology Report - SP Synoptic Data and Addendum Report - Addendum Synoptic Data.
