Installing eFRM for PowerPath
Preparation
Installation Files
Ensure you have access to your mTuitive Install Directory. This contains several important files:
- TEST and LIVE Word Macros
- CAP eFRM Installer
- CAP eFRM License Key
- eFRM User Interface Setup
Active Directory
- Ensure all users are added to “Lab Pathologists” Active Directory group.
Client Workstation Installation
The site’s IT department will need to:
- Install the CAP eFRM client application on each PowerPath workstation that needs to access eFRM. For instructions please see: https://xpert.helpscoutdocs.com/article/313-setup-xpert-efrm-client
- Find license key in your mTuitive Install Directory.
- Install the eFRM User Interface Setup program on each PowerPath workstation that needs to access eFRM. Be sure to “Run as administrator."
- NOTE: When installing, be sure to run the install program as an administrator by right-clicking the program and choosing the “Run as administrator” option on operating systems that support this.
- Accept default parameters for installation directory unless another directory is desired.
- Copy the Word Macro “SynopticReporting.dotm" to "c:\mTuitiveOutput\Temp”. Be sure to use the appropriate TEST or LIVE macro from the mTuitive Install Directory, depending on whether installing for TEST or LIVE.
- Follow the steps below "When a user logs into the workstation for the first time" under your own account. This will help pre-fill default values for other users when they log in for the first time.
When a user logs into the workstation for the first time
- Launch the eFRM User Interface Setup Utility under the eFRM User Interface Setup Program folder on the Start menu. This utility, pictured below, installs the SynopticReports.dotm file on this Windows user’s profile, making it available in Microsoft Word. The only thing the user needs to do is click the Update Current User button.
- In the “eFRM Database Configuration Server” field, enter the full database server instance name that the PowerPath database resides on.
- Fill in the eFRM Word Template Location field. Use "c:\mTuitiveOutput\Temp” unless you copied the macro to another location.
